![]() The Lord did not die just to shed blood, but he died so that we could die too. We can’t crucify ourselves now, because it already happened on that day over 2000 years ago. When we choose Jesus as our Savior, we find ourselves on that cross. Nee points out that, “The Lord himself has put us in Christ, and in dealing with Christ, he dealt with the whole race.” What happened to him, was meant for us as well. We didn’t each die individually, but being “in Him” we all died “in Him.” When Jesus died on the cross, all of us died, though we had not been born yet. ![]() It is a divine act and you have only to receive that in faith. We see two things going on here to question: how to be in Christ and how to die. In Romans 6:3 it says that when were baptized into Jesus Christ, we were baptized into his death. Hmmm, that doesn’t sound too good, because I am not ready to go yet!! Since we got into this mess by our birth, then the only way out is by our death.
